Reader comment on item: A Muslim reformation?

Submitted by Arlinda DeAngelis (United States), Oct 5, 2003 at 18:11

Dr. Pipes's voice is being heard throughout the world. It is a testament to his scholarship, courageous thought provoking analysis and his love of humanity.

There really is a movement towards reformation in the world of Islam. The work of Dr. Pipes, whose unerring belief that mankind is capable of reform, is reverberating in the closed world of Islam. Voices once suppressed are now speaking without fear.

Liberal democracy once planted never stops growing even in the most arid of regions. If the Nobel Peace Prize lives up to its lofty mission, Dr. Daniel Pipes should be a recipient.

Never has so much been owed by so many to one man.
