NAMING OF TEDDY BEAR MOHAMMED

Reader comment on item: Not Child's Play: The Teddy-Bear Intifada

Submitted by JACQUES HADIDA (United States), Dec 3, 2007 at 13:28

I find odd that rather than be pleased with a name ,-supposed to be beautiful and meaningful- used on an item so pleasant to kids, that adults do not like that.

How narrow minded can one be not to see the beauty .

The intent here was certainly not to diminish or belittle the name of Mohammed but rather make it likable and huggable.

I would love it if someone calls a TEDDY BEAR BY MY NAME. It makes me not only feel good but loved

So why don't Muslims understand this part of the project?

Did anyone look at the issue form this vantage point ?
