Islamic Perspective Of Jihad

Reader comment on item: What is Jihad?

Submitted by Hammad AlQadri (Pakistan), Oct 24, 2007 at 15:54

Whether how many people from West misunderstood Jihad & try to portray it as a practice which is unpractical in any form anywhere in the world or a taboo (despite what US done in Vietnam, Haiti & Iraq & its intentions for Cuba to not only defeat the opponent but to change the existing ideologies & the spreading of British Empire from Europe to Australia & the occupation of sovereign nation of Palestine & massacre of Palestinians by Zionists).

the Islamic perspective of Jihad is meant to only conquer lands to expend Islamic rule & to bring more lands under the umbrella of Divine Islamic laws for the benefit of mankind, not to kill non-Muslims or to change their ideologies & religion by force. that's why the oldest form of Christians (Coptic Christians) cannot be found anywhere in the world but only in the Middle East which was under the Islamic rule from past fourteen hundred years. If the Islamic rule meant to eradicate the followers of other religions under its borders, this cant be the case.
