Reader comment on item: When Conservatives Argue about Islam
in response to reader comment: advise to israelis

The idea that Iran will march 2000 km through hostile Sunni territory to destroy israel is a load of poppycock.

If they do they will be eliminated on the way by the IDF.

israel is not a bunch of militias, war-lords, blood-thirsty gangs and tyrants which are rampant all around. Israel is a Nation, the first among Nations, which under duress will clench the combuined fist and crush any enemy. Not as individualistic vigilantes, but a system for warfare under a joint command.

yet, sniff sniff, where was all this war machine last summer?

Well, there was no major duress, there was the ego of an idiotic prime-minister who though he could play at just a little indecisive war so as to serve his idiotic agenda. That failed.

Let us not confuse this with the military that wiped out three armies in 6 days when prepared, and in three weeks when utterly surprised.

Anyway, why march when you can drop a Nuke?
