Dealing with Saudis is moral failure

Burlington County Times

Lockheed Martin is the leading American corporation of highly advanced military weaponry. It employs over 140,000 U.S. citizens, including 30,000 former American military personnel.

As an American and a combat veteran, I greatly appreciate this fact and the high quality of product Lockheed Martin produces.

Lockheed Martin is the leader in the advancement of military aircraft; electronic systems for combat vehicles; missile systems and information intelligence gathering systems. Its customers include the defenders of our nation, the Department of Defense and Homeland Security.

This is where the perplexity comes in because of the vital role the corporation plays in our own national security and its continued sales of high technical arms to the world's No. 1 sponsor of Islamic terror, Saudi Arabia.

It's no coincidence Osama bin Laden and 15 of the 19 terrorist who attacked our great country Sept. 11, 2001, were Saudis. That action killed 3,008 Americans.

Saudi Arabia is the beheading capital of the world. If a Saudi denounces Islam, he or she will be publicly beheaded.

The Saudi government persecutes women, homosexuals and all others of different ideologies.

With the same oil-laden dollars with which the Saudis are purchasing high tech weapons from American corporations, they are funding the building of mosques and madrassas (Islamic religious schools) around the globe, spreading the ideology of hatred on a massive scale.

This will pay dividends of terror globally for years to come.

The Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems and Sensors Department in Moorestown is in the preparation stages to build Aegis LCS combat systems (the most high-tech system in the world) for Saudi warships.

The sale of sophisticated weapons is an ethical and moral failure for Lockheed Martin that will turn into a catastrophe for humanity.

I beg Lockheed Martin to do what's right and stop the selling of high technical weapons to the world's largest exporter of terror for their billions in petro dollars.
