Reader comment on item: War against Radical Islamists

Submitted by D W (United States), Jun 17, 2002 at 16:16

Our family lived in Saudi Arabia for 6 years (1990-1996), while my husband worked for an Oil Company. We lived under Islamic Shariah Law. We left to return back to the US, right after the Khobar Tower Bombing (about an hour away from our home in Saudi). On that day, I saw the Young Saudi Men at our Commissary cheering and celebrating that American Blood had been spilled. I went home and cried...and then realized true Islam had been revealed to me that day.

We had been reading in the Saudi Sponsored and Government Censored Papers, all throughout our stay in the Kingdom about Jihad (Holy War to kill the Infidels) and the need for Islam to rule the United States, due to our immorality. Islam teaches that sin is caused by external environs, therefore, if Muslims are in the US and they drink alcohol, go to 'Strip Clubs', commit adultery, etc., etc., it is because those vices were available and caused them to sin. That is why they call the US, The Great Satan!! That is why we are seen as a threat to Islam.

We never read or heard the term 'islamists' while we were there in Saudi ...the birthplace and ruling place for the dictates of Islam...which can be compared to Rome and the Catholic Religion.

If you want to play 'Bill Clinton' Games with semantics, go right ahead, but someday we will all learn the true revelation of Islam...to make the Whole World Islamic (Ummah=Islamic Community) and death to all who oppose them!
