in response to reader comment: The Positive Side of Joan Peter's "From Time Immemorial

Your review was limited to Miss Peters presentations about Arab (and Circassuan) immigration.

The other area that she shed light upon was the trans-millenial sub-human treatment of Jews (and Christians) that existed within Islam, frim the Straits of Gibralter to Central Asia. The only exception I am aware of is the "Golden Age" in Southern Spain. Even that interlude was destroyed when another Muslim group supplanted the original one, and reverted to their de-humanizing and murderous ways.

Knowledge of this 1300 years of almost unremitting degradation and mayhem is essential to understand what Israel must do, and what not to do, if it is to survive. The claims of most Israeli governments and politicians (and most Americans and Europeans) that signing "agreements" and giving up land, is somehow going to change the bent, the psychology that has been transmited down through thirty to forty generation is so obtuse as to be laughable, if the consequenses of such thought would not be so tragic. And to underline this point, I have read that the 2006 revision of the textbooks distributed to Arab/Palestinian children is even more vicious in it's anti-Jew, anti-Israel content.

Despite the imperfections in Miss Peters' book, until something better comes along, it should be required readimg for everyone interested the Arab attack on the Jews (aka the Arab-Israeli conflict), and especially for Jews, who are woefully ignorant of the facts. At least, then, they can be secure un their own defense when subjected to the endless assaults by the print and broadcast media, and the Arabs and theirs supporters.

Many thanks for your good works.
