Reader comment on item: Trendy European Leftists Call for Assassinating George W. Bush

Submitted by billcode (Portugal), Dec 19, 2006 at 15:13

why is it, Daniel, that the 'left' is 'trendy'? Just because the 'right' or 'conservatives' are out of touch with the young, ethnic minoriities, women, homosexuals, immigrants, artists, and countless others, does not mean that those who do not agree with them are 'trendy', does it? use another less-overused adjective ... And Charlie Brooker is a satirist - the US would not be so free of people willing to think outside of your ...'conservative/liberal;' boxes if there were a few more similar folk there. Or rather, if they weren't stifled in a suffocating culture of undemocratic intolerance.
