Dear Mr. Pipes,
Fine article. I agreed with most of it. In my slender studies I had gotten the impression that urbanization and education (especially among women) were making slow ,but definite inroads on some of the more barbaric Islamic customs (honor murders and rapes,arranged marriages for children,the bartering of women etc.) in Turkey.
should you find the time to reply, do you know of any terrorists attacks against the Turkish government, tourists or foreign locals in the last 10 years?
