Requirements for Citizenship in USA

Reader comment on item: Cut the Apologetics, a Muslima Advises CAIR

Submitted by June B Edwards (United States), Apr 24, 2006 at 13:21

It appears to me, Muslims have come here to my nation for very questionable reasons. Have they not been told, or have they forgotten, one of the requirrements for citizenship are to swear alligiance to the flag of the USA. I add: that means obide by the rules of laws here. That does not mean to come here and bring the laws of the nation they chose to leave.

Also-courtesy is an attribute of people of character from all colors, races and walks of life. Those who have come here with alternative motives are hurting their own people as well as showing us their real threatening, destructive motives for the very nation whom, they chose and who has allowed them here....We are not in a jihad. What is the purpose of people who declare engage us in a jihad? Our nation was brought into being on the premise of religious freedom. How else would the muslims be able to come here and practice their faith and build their mosques.

I believe it vital for our political leaders to reinstate strict requirements for any person, or family, to enter this nation. It is time to get tough. Having to live under threats of those who are here to bring destruction to the very nation the muslims, or any one else, with those thoughts for our destruction, or for taking over this country, need to be returned to the country they thought so little of as to leave it. Maybe they will find respect for themselves there.
