Predicting the future in Israel.
Reader comment on item: Ehud Olmert on the Gaza Withdrawal – A Dreamy Return to Oslo

Submitted by Elmo (United States), Jan 10, 2006 at 09:41

I always had a little hope for peace. I just didn't know or understand the difficulty, the near impossibiblity. The dunning complexity. I can still hope, I can still dream. Not a bad thing really. Because I now know that peace will not come in my lifetime. A tamping of active hostility might be the best that is achieved, if that?

Whither goes the newborn State of Palestine? Increased militancy? One questions whether it be possible that any country could be so stupid, as to engage in open warfare with Israel. Though it would actually be a step up to manhood, from the vile insect cowardice we have been witness to.

But come the day that Israel tires of defending itself, then all is lost.
