Mr. Pipes correctly points out that the problems surrounding the Temple Mount receive far too little coverage in the United States. I recall that his articles is one of the few I've read that originates outside Israel or the Arab world.

For the past several months, I have been researching and studying this issue for a book I am writing on the subject and have been in contact with concerned Jews and Christians here and in Israel.

The level of knowledge about what is happening at the Temple Mount--or even that both Labor and Likud Israeli governments have cooperated in preventing Jewish or Christian worship on the Mount--is abysmal.

As I have gone around speaking to groups about the subject, it has astounded me that even people with a good read and detailed knowledge about the Middle East are taken aback when told of the attempt to wipe out Jewish history at the Temple Mount.

The information is there; the underlying motives are clear. The people need to hear the.
