Thank you Daniel Pipes, and apologies for my somewhat arrogant message.

After reading other material on your website I think I see more agreements with you than disagreements and you seem to have studied the Middle East a lot. My earlier message was because I have had some Persian friends in the past and know about an Iranian lady who died due to hardships caused by non availability of a particular medicine due to sanctions. Despite such pain these are people who love US and try to vote as far left as they can. I find it cruel to be so dismissive of Iranians by pooh poohing the elections.

We can blame the regime for the sanctions and its consequences but in the end the people who suffer are mostly innocent people who wish no harm on Israel or US. Its far better to build bridges with the Iranian people than to be smug about their sufferings or critical of their elections.
