Reader comment on item: One Year After Morsi, How Goes Egypt?
in response to reader comment: Egypt will become a full blown failed state

Submitted by Prashant (United States), Jul 30, 2015 at 17:46

Dear Dr Pipes,

your reader Michael Morcos has rightly predicted that Egypt will become a fullblown failed state. Mr Morcos is being very conservative in his prediction. It is almost guaranteed that every theological society that prohibits freedom of thought will become a failed state. The question is not Islamic states will collapse as political entities, the question is how long it will take for them to collapse and how much damage they will do to the world before they collapse.
