Dr. Pipes

I want to bring to your attention the following hashtag on twitter which is creating lots of comments, articles and tweets and it is مليونية_خلع_الحجاب# or One million removing the Hijab and it seems that the Egyptian write Sherif el-Subashi is inviting one million Egyptian women to take off their hijabs in Tahrir square during the first week of May emulating what the great Huda Sha'rawi did almost 100 years ago and as usual Islamists are not very happy and here is an article in al-Araby about it

http://www.alaraby.co.uk/medianews/2015/4/16/%D9%85%D9%84%D9%8A%D9%88%D9%86%D9%8A%D8%A9-%D8%AE%D9%84%D8%B9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD%D8%AC%D8%A7%D8%A8-%D9%85%D9%86-%D8%AD%D9%81%D8%B1-%D8%AD%D9%81%D8%B1%D8%A9-%D9%84%D8%A3%D8%AE%D9%8A%D9%87-%D8%AA%D8%B2%D8%AD%D9%84%D9%82-%D9%81%D9%8A%D9%87%D8%A7

And here is the hashtag

https://twitter.com/hashtag/%D9%85%D9%84%D9%8A%D9%88%D9%86%D9%8A%D8%A9_%D8%AE%D9%84%D8%B9_%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD%D8%AC%D8%A7%D8%A8

And yes if Islam is to be reformed then it must come from within Islam
