Ad hominem attacks have no place on a Daniel Pipes blog

Reader comment on item: Criticisms of the U.S.-led Air Campaign against ISIS
in response to reader comment: Obama's pro-Iran sympathies

Submitted by RAYMOND TANTER (United States), Sep 30, 2014 at 22:19

The comments are off-topic, ad hominem, and hardly belong on a Daniel Pipes blog.

At issue is whether Iran or ISIS is the main threat. Dr. Pipes make a reasoned argument to which I concur. He focuses on items like the following:

  • The Iranian nuclear build-up is 1,000 times a greater threat than ISIS.
  • Tehran should be left to deal with this problem, which threatens its allies in Damascus and Baghdad, and potentially even Iran itself.
