Sisi as anti-Islamist autocrat

Reader comment on item: What Egypt's President Sisi Really Thinks

Submitted by PezDispenser (Israel), Sep 17, 2014 at 04:26

Fascinating and excellent analysis. I would like to submit three links that point towards Sisi as a leader of moderate Islam or traditional (yet non-Islamist) Islam and one link that hints at autocratic rule and the postponement of democracy for at least the next twenty years:

1) Egypt's General Sisi Calls for Rise of 'Modern' Islam

2) Egypt's Sisi turns Islam on the Islamists

3) Egyptians uncertain about future under President Sisi
