I see no fault in anything you've said here -- except the matter of war with Israel. The Cypriots will not fight, because they are outclassed by the Turkish military, because Greece is too weak to help them, and because the rest of NATO is afraid of an inconvenient mess. Cyprus continues to be occupied, then, because this is the most pragmatice solution.

Concerning Turkey's former friendship with Israel, it was a marriage of convenience. Now the two are genuine enemies, though the Israelis are a bit slow in realizing this. They will soon be at war with each other, without real affection or anger, because the situation warrants it: Syria will soon cease to exist, and there is nobody to fill the vacuum but Turkey, Iran and Israel.

Israel will win.
