I watched the whole circus and felt some of poor Villaraigosa's agony. The voice vote was roughly 50/50 at all three times. Had the God issue been separated from Jerusalem, the antigod sentiment would have been considerably less disapproving in contrast with the Jerusalem vote, which in my estimation would have been 67/33 against. Whichever way you dice it, this is today's Democrat Party. Chuck Schumer's and Debbie Shultz-Wasserman's living in denial notwithstanding.
