Others' Opinions of the United States.Reader comment on item: Obama Makes Little Headway among Arabic-speaking Muslims Submitted by Charles Griffith (United States), May 30, 2010 at 11:43 Pace...Rhett Butler, "Frankly, I don't give a damn.." ...about the Islamic world's opinion of the United States. It may even be in our interests to practice a bit of Taqiyya against those who are the masters of that technique, although that may backfire to our detriment because we'd never master Taqiyya's infinite subleties. Our current President, fortunately they change from time to time, is spinning his wheels in international affairs. The best, most immediate results would be for us taxpayers to demand the withholding all of these USAID programs from the Third World, which have reached the stage of "entitlements". Obama using his middle name and "reaching out" is a useless tactic which I'm sure is viewed as a sign of weakness. The Islamic world is only interested in the balance sheet of oil revenue. When that runs out, as it will with ever increasing speed now that a billion Indians plus another billion Chinese grow as petrol-besotted as we Americans. "Opinions" are as stable as droplets of spilled mercury on a labatory tabletop. Enough of Obama's pub-rel. Enough of Obama.
