My own opinion of suicide attacks
Reader comment on item: The Scourge of Suicide Terrorism

"It is clear that a person willing to give up his life can adopt measures not available to someone trying to stay alive."

This is from your own article, and to my understanding is that terrorism can win anyone over if we permitted or not want to fight back. I totally disagree since, according to your article, the majority, if not all, of the suicide bombers are poor, uneducated and totally desperate for a better life. They have been brainwashed by these fanatics and don't have the strength or voice to think for themselves.

But then there are those who have been blackmailed into carrying out these missions, so is like a no win situation or so it seems. The ones who choose to carry out the suicide missions on their own, with a promise of everlasting life in paradise don't seem to realize that they are being brainwashed into carrying out these missions; why aren't the leaders of these organizations blowing themselves up? If enough of them would think for themselves and bother to put a foot in the 21st century they would be able to see that it is okay now to have a say or fight for that cause against the real oppressors, which are the leaders of this organizations who prey on the weak and uneducated, even if some of them are college students and from well to do families.

My main concern is allowing terrorist s to dictate everyday life in the future, one perfect example is the creation of a Palestinian state. If we permit to create such a state under the terrorist duress then we are providing them with a safe haven and giving them more strength to one day blackmail the world into doing whatever they want. They will take advantage of this situation and get away if we allow it because they are getting away with it now.

In my eyes Palestinians have lost all respect and all credibility, they need to start thinking under different grounds and have better respect for themselves and stop acquiring their children's future with hate and terror.
