Consider what Hindu Kush means. It means Hindu Genocide -- where Hindus were massacred by invading Muslims. It was the Muslim invaders who gave that name to that mountain range where tens of thousands of Hindus were massacred. It was meant as a deterrent for the Hindus from returning to their own home land.

Same thing is happening in Israel. The Arab Muslims want to occupy the mountains of Israel & the hills of Judea for the eventual genocide of the Jews. By terrorizing the Jews, they think they can occupy the Land of Israel. That's what one can refer to as 'obsolete' tactics. It belongs to the 7th century.
