As Ibn Warraqh said "There are moderate Muslims, but there is no moderate Islam." The qualifier "radical" should be avoided at all cost. The naive faith in the existence of "peaceful Islam" leads to fatal policies vis-a-vis Islam. The never ending "democracy building" in Iraq is case in point, recent success of the surge notwithstanding: As soon as we leave the bloodbath will resume.
