Dear Dr. Pipes,
This letter is not with respect to the above, but I really wish to commend you for your efforts. I myself was a liberal pro-Palestinian "intellectual" at university, though not an anti-Semite, and after doing considerable reading on Islam after 9/11, I was shocked to learn what I did. I found the website of Ali Sina (FFI) by chance and learned quite a bit there as well, and even had a few of my articles published on this site. I now go on forums where I know the people participating are largely liberal and leftist leaning, and argue my case quite effectively, creating quite a stir, and naturally being labelled a bigot and a racist. Yet, I always reply back in a rational way so that they know that I know what I am talking about. It has been quite educational in that the ones who vociferously countered me in the beginning have quieted down quite a bit. I may not change anyone's mind, but it gives the courage to others to come forward to criticize Islamists and to stop treating it with kids gloves. That is what you and others have done and I wish to thank you for your insightful opinions.
Sincerely, Kevin
