You say she was a "member of an Islamist organization" BUT...

Hi. I've met Mariam Sobh. She's a very nice girl. She organized inclusive Muslim performing arts events at the Urbana-Champaign student union, breaking with the more conservative Muslim Student Association on campus to do so, to encourage fairness and representation of women in Islamic events on campus and in performing arts. The events were well attended by Muslims and non-Muslims as audience and participants. She would also sing at the events and has a real nice voice. You left that out of your description of her Islamic activities... I thought I might just mention another side to the person to help provide some balance. Balance is a good thing, right?
