Something To Consider
Reader comment on item: A tale of two crypts

Submitted by Rob Arsenault (United States), Dec 19, 2003 at 13:55

While I believe the truth in Mr. Pipes' observations of America's benevolence of the last seven decades is self evident, I know there are skeptics who don't share this view. I urge those readers to envision a world in which either Nazi Germany or Stalinist Russia possessed the global reach and military might currently belonging to the US. The difference between that vision and the world we actually live in should demonstrate just how fortunate the world is that the US is the nation that reached this pinnacle of power first.
