meaning of JihadReader comment on item: The U.S. Government Defines Jihad Submitted by Tuda (United States), Oct 23, 2007 at 17:53 Your definition of Jihad is completely skewed. I am a Muslim and know the true definition of the term. It IS, in fact, referring to hard work, self motivation, and struggle. It however, has NOTHING to do with any type of Holy War. Those who claim this are not Muslims or ignorant. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
