Reader comment on item: Explaining Israel's Timid Security Establishment

One of modern history's more compelling historical narratives is the IDF, the Israeli Defense Force; singularly a storied military presence, that though there may be times when their actions may raise eyebrows and concerns, it would be careless to presume that when all odds are against even their very survival that they could ever be counted down and out. That being said, even the Israeli military may end up being hampered by the politics they serve, voices of both ends of the spectrum quarreling to gain a controlling influence to achieve some form of political advantage in defense of politics instead of the people. Think they are immune: see how it works out for America, the next closest democracy that might be used as an example.
Indeed, as Dr. Pipes invokes, Israeli politics is experiencing multiple political personalities, confusion coming from all ends of the spectrum like that mentioned above, serving to divide a country that in reality, needs to rally behind a different calling to unity.

Here is where the clue to the path to victory is to be searched out. Too many external voices are being given credence. Further, internally, a social conscience is being exploited for all the causes of faulty human nature which diffuse the desire of unity, instead personal ambitions ranging and raging to meet individual appetites in place of seeking the best for others. Think it not so: why does the Torah tell of forty years in the Sinai before entering the promised land.

Centuries later, they, the sons of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob ARE IN THE PROMISED LAND, TO STAY!
When the time comes, and it is approaching very soon, the defense of Israel will be brought to a head, in a way no one is really prepared for. Even the IDF is going to be challenged in ways that will require a totally new sense of awareness of what is at stake. The plan for this is already revealed; all one need do is search out the path already prepared.
