"Islam needs a pope" seems contradictory

Dear Dr Pipes, In the recent decades I have not seen a Pope who was humble and respectful. In the recent decades I have not seem an Muslim leader who is humble and purple. That Islam gets a Pope, sounds contradictory. Such a person does not exist.
