Mr. Pipes, I wonder if you had an opportunity to read the recent column by Melanie Phillips in which she argues we Americans have misunderstood British law relevant to the arrest and subsequent imprisonment of Tommy Robinson. Melanie is a friend and a writer whom I admire. But this is not one of her better analyses. For example, she elides over Tommy Robinson's being tricked out of legal counsel as well as the fact that he was reading from a BBC publication when arrested.
