Worse? I suggest that you read the rantings of Craig Considine who is also a sociologist but he also pretends to be a theologian and he tells us that Christians must regard Muhammad as a prophet

And then he reads the Quran (I'm sure he cannot read it in Arabic) and tells us that Q5:32 is about the fact that Allah and Islam do not permit the killing of others and Daesh has nothing to do with Islam which proves that he either did nor read the whole verse and the commentaries of al-Tabari Ibn Kathir and al-Qurtubi of the vesre or he is an apologist for Islam

And in the same article he tells us that the word jihad only means struggle when no other than Ibn Manzur in his dictionary of Arabic (and it is the earliest dictionary in Arabic) that the word Jihad means HOLY WAR
