Many refugees return to their homelands

I do see a very different outcome At the end of the second world war many European refugees found refuge in the Middle East and places like Cairo had a huge influx of refugees and where are they today? Almost all gone Why did they leave? I will leave it to another post

We know from US immigration that many immigrants return back to their homeland case in point is Italian immigration to the US where I recall reading that almost half went back to Italy

I suspect if war in Syria ends and Daesh is defeated the economy will expand again and many refugees will head back to their homeland
