Reader comment on item: Thoughts on the Start of Israeli-Palestinian "Proximity Talks"

Yes, it's taking shape to be the darkest time in Israel's history, I agree.

Let us sort this through:

US relations going downhill. You are less likely to be able to bank on the US to look out for you than you would likely have been had you not insulted it.

Iran playing God and might seal your faith – which is vanishing off the face of the earth. Time is winding down.

Europe, like Dr. Pipe's said, portrays you as Nazis. You cannot win them over.

UN by and large scornful as usual – essentially they call you racists.

North Korea, read from the NY Times, has been supplying Hezbollah with far more dangerous weapons and they are waiting in the wings to strike.

Your explanations of why you are building housing units in Jerusalem fall on deaf ears. Russia and most of the world who cares condemned it as well.

Britain expelled one of your diplomats over your unprofessional and disrespectful use of Britain's
government procedures. It's a telling sign.

Etcetera.

And something tells me Obama doesn't give a damn.

So, the question might no longer be merely staving off terrorist attacks time after time or playing nice.

Here is what I think you should do, and I have said this before:

Strike nuclear facilities in Iran with or without US approval - even strike now.

And implement Dr. Pipe's peace plan on Palestinian and Hezbollah terrorists, but under the following circumstance:

Keep cool. Do not initiate or you would be falling into a trap. Let terrorists strike first, say Hezbollah sending rockets to a town. If you strike first, you would be viewed by the world as an aggressor and get damning indictment.

Do the above, Obama most probably would give in and thus you get surprising respect and actually get US support, the world sees glaringly your substantive points of preventing yourself from mortal harm and squarely support you.

Many times if one shows determination, strength, will, standing out for oneself, independent mind, and defiance, at a fragile moment, you dramatically change course and get a sizable chunk of respect.

If Dr. Pipes vaunted Victory plan, which is what I am proposing, is correct, then would come a sterling victory speech and you would be safer.

A runaway success.

My two cents.

Mark D.
