Israel's options.

Reader comment on item: The Democrats and Israel

Submitted by Ali Ahmed (Canada), Jan 21, 2009 at 01:43

With or without US support, Israel's options are all bad.

Option #1, Throw out Palestinians to Jordan and Egypt. Impossible without massive wars and killings.

Option #2, An apartheid State. Impossible and very costly in the 21st century.

Option #3, One country with equal vote for all. Impossible for Jews because Palestinians will outnumber Jews in a big percentage in a decade or two.

Option #4, A two state solution. Impossible without dismantling settlements and the right of return.

I prefer the one State solution with equal vote for all in a democracy. This is also what Ahamdinejad and Gadafi suggest.
