More refined way of getting money than thuggery.

The Palestinians have realized that 7th century thuggery is quite a risky business, and gives them a bad rap around the world in seconds, because of the 21st century technology.

Secondly, it is below the dignity for a terrorist in a full-suit (Abbas) to request money, when he can manipulate the setting for the cameras to give an impression that they are in need of finances.

Thirdly, they know how to influence Condoleezza Rice to sympathize with her 'beloved Palestinians'.
