deep misunderstanding of islam
Reader comment on item: The Islamic Threat: Myth or Reality?

Submitted by yousef (Palestinian Territory, Occupied), Feb 26, 2007 at 18:38

Dear Dr. Pipes,

I wish you would differentiate between Islam as a religious narrative represented in The Holy Quran & Al Hadith AL shareef in the one hand and Muslims as people on the other hand. no muslim can represent Islam as a religion. In other words, Sayyed Qutob and Al Khumaini are not islam and Islam is incarnated in people, or the so-called islamic states. what they say and do is their own opinion in Islam and how they percieve it by their limited minds as human beings.

Questions:

what were the American Marines doing in Lebanon When Hizbu Allah attacked them? as a peace keeping Force? Is Lebanon their own land? is Keeping peace by bringing a huge amount of distructive weapons? or by dialogue ? What about Israel? where are the American Marines to keep peace between the two sides- Palestinians and Israelis? there are a lot of questions

thanks a lot
