What in God's name possessed the UN Chief to give legitimacy to an Islamic extremist
Reader comment on item: Involve Syria and Iran in the Lebanon War?

Submitted by Adam Eylat (Israel), Aug 12, 2006 at 12:29

There is a photo circulating showing Sec. Annan and Hizbullah leader Nasrallah posing for the camera and shaking hands like two old friends ' smiling from ear to ear.

And I could not help thinking to myself that Sec. Annan gave Nasrallah international recognition on that very same day.

What in God's name possessed the UN Chief to give legitimacy to an Islamic extremist who has the blood of hundreds of US Marines on his hands ?
