Pay the price to defend Western values
Reader comment on item: The West Stands Up for Its Customs
in response to reader comment: dog in the manger

All of those of us who enjoy the privileges of living in a western society must bang the drum as loudly as the muslims do for their way of life.

An Imam in France stood in front of his muslim congregation and promised them that muslims "need only roar and the French would back off. "

It seems to me that we must also follow this course - except to "roar louder" and to tell the muslims that we wish to preserve our western way life, with all its faults, and woe betide any of them if they try to take it away from us.

Show muslims that we can be as angry and as vociferous as they are in defending our chosen way of living. The groundswell of anger must come from us and be directed at our leaders who, particularly here in the UK, have shown themselves to be totally gutless in tackling this sedition in our midst.

Whenever there is trouble, here in the UK, the mantra from our politicians is "Islam is a religion of peace and love."

Mohammed Bakri said, shortly after the disgusting London demonstrations, "And the messenger mohammed said whoever insults a prophet, he must be punished and executed."

So, what price "peace and love"?

Hypocrites one and all.
