An outrage
Reader comment on item: [Khalid DurĂ¡n] An American Rushdie?

Submitted by Peter J. Herz (Taiwan), May 19, 2005 at 08:23

Khalid Duran is someone who warned the country long ago that radicals were insinuating themselves into leadership in Islamic institutions and mosques across the country. People like him are reasons why the President has called Islam a "religion of peace", and even those of us who have serious disagreements with Islam see people like Duran as respectable and honorable. If CAIR has joined the chorus of voices calling for his assassination, Ibrahim Hooper and others really ought to be in jail.
