Big Picture is Not Two-Dimensional Mr.Stephens

Reader comment on item: When Sunni and Shiite Extremists Make War

Submitted by Michael Hanni Morcos (Canada), Jun 5, 2013 at 14:39

To start with Syria is not Iran or Iraq--Secondly the factors and conditions in the 80's are Not the same for 2013-14 . That notion that my enemies enemy is my friend is at the root of this dilemma;the facts are that they are both enemies and should be treated in that manner. Mr. Bret , in the real world , We are only responsible for our Actions -And if People have No Respect for their own Lives why would they have any respect for yours or mine ?The real picture is Not two-dimensional but Multi- faced--and at the core is Sanctity of precious Lives--Which neither the Sunnis nor Shias comprehend.

Thank You.
