uncanny similarity between Quranic and Gadhafi's calls

Reader comment on item: Bush Returns to the "Religion of Peace" Formulation

Dear Dr. Pipes:

Under best possible interpretaions, nothing is bad. Under normal interpretations, certain quoranic dictums can be misused. Consider this famous quote from Quran: "Fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them: seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them." Then read the following call of Libyan dictator Gadhafi to his supporter. In this call Gadhafi asked his supporters to attack his opponents.

Around Feb 21, 2011 Gadhafi said, "You men and women who love Gadhafi ... get out of your homes and fill the streets ... leave your homes and attack them in their lairs." "lie in wait for them" and "attack them in their lairs". I see a similarity there.
