An even bigger pot boiler in the Israeli press

Former Israeli President Moshe Katzav was convicted of rape and is expected to be sentenced to many years in jail. The weekend newspapers were stuffed to brimming with articles about the tragic rape conviction. Only one voice called for a pardon. The voice of the left wing paragon Yosi Beilin. No Israeli in his right mind considers it just to give a convicted rapist a pardon even if it is the respected former president who has now lost all respect. Beilin's call for a pardon for Katzav is pie in the sky. A one person pot boiler and in its absurdity and detachment from reality just like present expectations for a coalition change here now.
