Was the timing of the announcement of the construction of 1500 (!) new housing units in East Jerusalem during the visit of the Vice President of the United States just a coincidence? No way! It was an out-of-control settler movement showing Netanyahu who is really the boss in Israel. That, to my view, was the REAL humiliation. Begin never would have stood for it.
