Try supporting your own private schools

in response to reader comment: Bilingual Muslim Schools

Submitted by Peter Herz (United States), Jul 23, 2009 at 06:00

If Muslims want schooling with a Muslim ethos--an understandable position--they should do the following:

(1) support their own private schools.

(2) If US citizens, they should vote for candidates who promote school choice rather than perpetuate a public school near-monopoly for all but the wealthiest.

(3) Support demolishing the federal Dept. of Education and other attempts to centralize control over US education in the hands of a few bureaucrats who are likely to be utterly clueless about the concerns of theists of any stripe.

As for British institutional racism, Iwell, I'm as much for a fair shake for everyone as the next man, but I also urge you to quit whining. If you don't like it in Britain or here in the USA, nobody's going to hold a gun to your head or take your children hostage to make you stay.
