But they can translate MeinKampf
Reader comment on item: Learning in Arabic about Jews and Judaism

Submitted by Rachel Garber (United States), May 5, 2008 at 19:22

This article is interesting, and brings to mind an article I just saw in a local newspaper, the Daily News. Apparently, the copyright on Hitler's "magnum opus".is about to expire. It has been illegal to publish in Germany, but they are giving serious consideration to publishing it now with annotations.

The logic behind this decision, and they have the blessing with a Jewish organization (sorry, I don't recall which one) is giving their blessing. The rationale is that they want to publish it with annotations, before it goes into the public domain, and becomes fodder for the deniers. What I found so interesting, is that it has been translated into a few languages, Arabic being one of the main languages. How very interesting that they just love to read his heinous lies. And we are supposed to believe that these people want to make peace with Israel.

About a month ago I saw a photo online of a bookstore in one of the Arab countries, the window display featured Jimmy "the Devil" Carter's book, and Mein Kampf, along with a few other books. How appropriate, that's just where he belongs, in a window display with Hitler's book.
