Hijaz occupied by Saudis started the problems in the Middle East.

Reader comment on item: Mirror Image: Palestinians Continue to Mimic Zionism

Submitted by M.D'Souza (United States), Apr 16, 2008 at 13:13

According to the Balfour Declaration of 1917, Israel should have gotten much greater territory than what she now occupies.

It is when the illiterate nomads of the Najd, the heartland that was home to the al Saud family, displaced the Hijazis (1920s) that the Hashemites who had been the sheriffs of the Hijaz had to be given a territory. That's how Israel lost the east of Jordan to the Hashemites.

Now the Saudis are playing the same dirty trick of gnawing into Israeli territory in Jaffa to bring in the Wahhabi yahoos to occupy Israel's prime real estate.
