Fox News and President Bush
Reader comment on item: Alwaleed Bin Talal Denies the First French Intifada

Submitted by Mari (United States), Jan 7, 2008 at 22:08

In Jan or Feb. 0f 2007, i saw a report on the Fox News website that "a Saudi Prince had called Rupert Murdoch regarding the use of the term 'Islamofascism on the Fox News channel and stated that he did not want the term used anymore on Fox News" In fact, the next day on the Hannity and Colmes program Sean Hannity used the word then stated "we aren't supposed to use that word anymore, I don't know why" . As a Fox News addict, I watched intently for days to see if this was true. Sure enough the word was NEVER used on Fox News again.

On the same Hannity and Colmes program, the 'head' of CAIR appeared. He stated "that he had been to the Western White House the day before (on a Sunday!) and had told the President of the United States not to use the term again". President Bush had used the term on the previous day.

So, I called my cable company and told them to downgrade my service to basic thus not contributing to Fox News channel. I have kept that basic cable.
