Terror is winning the hearts of the Media
Reader comment on item: Is terror winning the war?

Submitted by Is terror winning the War? (United States), Aug 31, 2003 at 18:56

Terrorism has only altered my life a bit. I still go out to eat, I fly the commercial airlines, and I visit Israel. However, I must leave hours ahead of time, to go through a haphazard search of my bags, while letting some others walk through, who clarly fit the profile of terrorists, but remailing politically correct is the first priority.

However, the fear of terrorism, has so gripped the views of the media, especially the English and the far left, that they actually believe it is a way to express ones' desire of freedom and a homeland. Many in the press think that if one is going to blow oneself up, the victim of this offesnse, MUST be wrong. This is where the world has gone mad.

Terrorism is an act of war, that must never be tolerated, and all countries, who claim to be on the side of human rights, and war crimes should be up in arms about this type of aggession. But nary a word, from the UN, Amnesty International (who made one comment, however skewed), Human Rights watch, or our wonderful Edward Kennedy. This people, who refuse to stand up and say, that NOTHING ever will be accomplished, awarded to, or given to those who murder innocent civilians, and put fear and terror into those who live near the borders of a country, that endorse, teach, and reward hatred.

I fear that terrorism has given some a reason to ask "what did we do wrong that invoked such an act" This is where terrorism has won. This is where, we have those, who should see, that terror has so gotten under their skin, that they feel gulity, sort of like the vitims of child abuse. "What did I do wrong, and make Uncle Ed, molest me?" "What did the USA and Israel do so wrong, that they deserve 9/11 and the constant attacks in Israel. No one stops and says, what is wrong with these people that they are so misguided, and hateful, that life has no meaning. So, a long answer to a short question, yes, terrorism, up to now, has won.
