Militant Islam's Infinite Goals

Commenting on the first self-immolation by a female Hamas suicide bomber, one of the organization's leaders, Mahmoud Zahar, had this to say: "the march of resistance will continue until the Islamic flag is raised, not only over the minarets of Jerusalem, but over the whole universe." That does succinctly state the goals of every militant Islamic group, in fact, even if some are not so bold as to come out and say so. (January 16, 2004)
