No to Mubarak and the Muslim Brotherhood also.

Reader comment on item: Reflections on Hosni Mubarak's Resignation
in response to reader comment: Mideast Democracy?

Submitted by Ric Ben-Safed (United States), Feb 14, 2011 at 08:06

There is no respect for American style democracy among the Muslim Brotherhood. And as Dr. Pipes has repeatedly pointed out, Islam harbors a sense of superiority over non-muslims. There is no counter-vailing force amongst Islamists. Democracy is a western tool for the Muslim Brotherhood to get to ultimate power. Sure , cheer the downfall of Mubarak, but be ware of the other shoe wielded by the Muslim Brotherhood. Egypt can easily switch now to a 'resistance' state along with Iran. (Egypt will continue as a Sunni nation even if newly radical.
